A Word from the Director.
Welcome to the website of “La Maternelle French Academy”, a francophone French nursery school where the diversity and the pedagogies’ methods are only equal to commitment for excellence.
La Maternelle French Academy is a school inspired by the French nurseries and follows the official programs set by the French Ministry of Education. We are providing services for francophone families who desire that their children follow the French program, or Americans and international families who want their children to learn French using a full immersion program. Our students come from all horizons, which allow them to become more aware of other cultures and open their minds.
Our school is a small structure, which welcomes children from 18 months to 6 years old. The teaching exclusively is given in French with the exception of the pre-kindergarten class where English lessons are also given to facilitate the transition to American or international schools.
All of our teachers and assistants are either from France or from French-speaking countries and are degreed. In addition, our staff is first aid and CPR certified.
We offer 5 classes:
- Nursery “Crèche”, 18 months to 30 months old
- Preschool 2 “Très Petite Section” 30 Months to 36 months old (2.5 to 3 years)
- Preschool “Petite Section” 3 years to 4 years old
- Pre-Kindergarten “Moyenne Section” 4 years to 5 years old
- Kindergarten “Grande Section” 5 years to 6 years old
The vocation of our school is to develop the emotional, intellectual and social aptitudes of your child, in a friendly, nurturing and colorful, multicultural environment.
